Open Air Adventure Park offers a unique and thrilling outdoor experience nestled in the scenic Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Our park provides an exciting array of activities including an Aerial Adventure park, Ax Throwing, Kayaking and additional activities that cater to individuals, families, and groups of all ages. Job Description:

As an Adventure Guide at Open Air Adventure Park, you’ll play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include guiding and assisting participants through aerial obstacle courses, ax throwing, and kayaking (for qualified staff only), ensuring their safety, and providing exceptional customer service. We are looking to fill both part-time and full-time positions.

Benefits:

  • $16 hourly pay plus tips (averages $2 per hour during main season)

Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Assistance: Assist and guide guests of various ages and skill levels through our aerial obstacle courses, as well as teach our guests ax throwing while ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience.
  2. Safety Oversight: Implement and uphold safety protocols, conduct thorough safety briefings, and ensure guests are properly equipped with harnesses and helmets.
  3. Customer Engagement: Interact with guests in a friendly and approachable manner, offering assistance, answering questions, and providing information about the park’s activities.
  4. Inclusive Approach: Accommodate guests with diverse needs, including special needs individuals, and provide additional support as necessary.
  5. Group Events: Facilitate and coordinate group events, ensuring all participants have a safe and enjoyable adventure.
  6. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team for prompt resolution.
  7. Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations, following established protocols, and ensuring the well-being of all participants.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  2. Customer Service Focus: A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating positive experiences for guests.
  3. Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a dynamic outdoor environment and adjust to changing circumstances.
  4. Physical Fitness: The ability to navigate and demonstrate course elements, perform physical rescues and ensuring participant safety does require a moderate level of physical fitness.
  5. Team Player: Collaborative attitude with a willingness to work alongside a diverse team.
  6. CPR/First Aid Certification: Preferred, but not required.
  7. Experience: Applicants who have experience with ropes courses, ziplines, aerial adventure parks, at camps, guiding, rock climbing, coaching,or related will receive priority.
  8. Availability: Willingness to work weekends and holidays, as our park operates based on seasonal demand. No extended time off allowed from the last 2 weeks of July through the first week of August.
  9. Age: Due to the requirements of our industry, the minimum age is 18.
  10. Training: Training takes place from May 19th-23rd. There is potential to be flexible on training dates for the right applicant.
