FAQ

Is your course designed for kids only?

Our course is designed to be challenging and fun for just about every age group and ability, not just kiddos. Younger children tend to treat the harder challenges as mini ziplines (just swinging through the challenges), while older children to adults engage the course by trying the challenges as we designed them. We are really good at helping our guests get the adventure they are wanting.

Taking our word for it is one thing, but we recommend that you check out our reviews to see what everyone else is saying (just a hint-good things)!

Is there an age requirement?

Our minimum age for the aerial adventure park is 6 years old, and our minimum age for ax throwing is 14 years old.

Depending on the height of the child, someone who is taller may have to stay nearby to help clip the child’s safety claws onto the belay cable on the ropes course.

What are the weight requirements?

Our minimum weight is 40 lbs and max is 250 lbs.

We took our three kids there today and they had a blast. Staff was SUPER FRIENDLY and explained everything really well. It was a fun safe experience thanks to a guy working there named Mike!!!! Our son has a minor case of Cerebral Palsy and struggles with some of the obstacles but Mike was right there to help him make it thru them with kind words of encouragement and a helping hand when needed!!! Class Act guy ya got working for ya there!!!!!

Our family had a great time yesterday! While it doesn't look huge when you arrive, the course was super challenging and lots of fun. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Definitely recommend heading to Open Air Adventure Park for some fun in Estes outside of RMNP!

What a great stop on our vacation! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Our boys are older teenagers (17 & 19) and had an absolute blast, it was their favorite part of the trip! I also observed several members of the staff interacting with younger children.
They were amazing at making sure these kids were having a safe and fun time.

My wife and I did axe throwing while the boys had fun with the park. We had a full view of what they were doing while we had our fun. If I could have changed one thing I would have like some shade by the axe throwing lanes. I highly encourage making this a stop if you plan to visit Estes Park.

Excellent experience! I went to Open Air Adventure with two of my teenage sons and some of their friends. We all had a great time, including the parents. The staff is great. They were helpful, encouraging, and even would throw out more challenging ways for the teens to complete an obstacle. I would highly recommend you stop by and check them out.

A must do for the whole family. We drove by the open air park so we looked it up. To be honest my kids 18 and 15 were skeptical if they would be challenged by it. You get 90 min. They went on it for an hour, were so tired and exhausted that they stopped. They had a blast, there are 3 levels of activities so my son and younger daughter both felt challenged. We highly recommend this. There were a lot of adults on it too. I’m just not a heights person.
